Hey everyone, I'm running into a weird issue after my windows laptop upgraded to Windows 11 25H2 and wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Both Windsurf and Antigravity installers freeze completely at the "Extracting files..." screen every single time. The window becomes fully unresponsive, hover effects on buttons stop working, and Task Manager shows 0% CPU and 0 MB/s disk activity for the installer process.
Things I have already tried:
Disabled Windows Defender
Fresh downloads of both installers
Different install paths
Cleared temp files
SFC, DISM, chkdsk, all clean
Windows repair reinstall
Running with nothing else open
This worked perfectly fine on 24H2. Both apps use the Squirrel installer framework so I suspect it might be a 25H2 compatibility issue with Squirrel specifically.
Specs: HP ENVY x360, Intel i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, Windows 11 Home 25H2 build 26200.7840
