What is a Content Delivery Network (CDN)?

Tags: #CDN #WebPerformance #Networking

A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a system of distributed servers that work together to deliver digital content, such as images, videos, and even JavaScript and CSS files, more efficiently to users. The primary goal is to improve web performance by reducing latency and accelerating site load times. CDNs achieve this by distributing content to edge servers closest to the user, thereby cutting down the time it takes for data to travel between the server and the user.
