How to Create a Hand Fan Using SelfCAD’s AI Assistant
With SelfCAD’s AI Assistant, turning your creative ideas into a 3D model is easier than ever. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced designer, SelfCAD provides an intuitive platform that allows you to bring your ideas to life with the help of AI-powered tools. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating a hand fan using SelfCAD’s AI Assistant, from generating the initial design to refining the model and preparing it for 3D printing. Once you launch the editor, click on AI modeling on the Toolbar as shown below
The highlighted box indicates where we input our prompt
The assistant feedback suggests the elements that will be included in the model. Once we’ve reviewed them, we click Prepare parts
The window shows the dimensions of the model, and since we will be including all the elements, we click on Generate Elements
Beside each element in this process, you’ll see the ‘Creating’ sign. Wait until all the elements have finished generating and the sign turns to ‘Ready’. Click ‘Assemble Model’
