Ubuntu 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla's" Release Draft

Currently very very little is known about Ubuntu 20.10 "Groovy Gorilla". What we do currently have eyes on is the current release schedule. The name was already proven possible by Phoronix and seeing the teasing by Alan Pope himself (mentioned in the article) in Telegram (Ubuntu Podcast is where I originally saw it, however cannot re-find it).

What do we know so far? Well, basically only the name (and even that is not fully confirmed) and a draft timeline, which makes sense when Focal Fossa released only yesterday as of writing. What can we confirm? Nothing, we can speculate.

Current theories I have

Well, it is likely we will see newer kernels being used (as mainline (non-LTS) releases don't aim for 5-year support). We might also see more snap packages be included and a higher shift towards Snaps as default. Another possible thing to see is more icons supported by Yaru, the default theme on Ubuntu.

Don't take any of this as fact, just speculation and educated guessing that is fairly generic. If I am going, to be honest, like 19.04 and 18.10 I do not feel like there will be a massive shift in the release Until 21.04 at the earliest.
