Hey KCD Chennai Community! 👋

Many of you have been asking about KCD Chennai 2024. There's been some exciting developments in the KCD world this year! 🎉

Firstly, Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) has implemented a new guideline for KCD events within the same country/region. To ensure a vibrant ecosystem and avoid scheduling conflicts, KCDs need to be at least 2 months apart, and not held within 2 months of other major CNCF/LF events. 🥇

2024 has seen the incredible launch of brand new KCDs in India! KCD Kerala, KCD Pune and KCD Hyderabad. 🎈

Additionally, India is hosting its very first dedicated KubeCon event in New Delhi from December 10th-12th, 2024! This flagship event deserves the spotlight, so we've made the difficult decision to forgo KCD Chennai 2024. ✨

This decision allows other KCD communities in India to flourish and grow, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing – the core values of open source! 🦄

Open-source communities thrive on the principles of openness, collaboration, and cooperation. These values are fundamental to nurturing innovation, knowledge sharing and community growth. CNCF and hence the KCD Chennai community exemplifies these principles, creating a space where other communities thrive as well. Together, we're stronger! 🤝
