Hey Dev.to community! 👋
I’m Kisra Fistya, a SaaS builder and developer who’s been knee deep in code, coffee, and the dream of making AI wrapper apps accessible to everyone. I’m thrilled to join this amazing community of builders, and I thought I’d kick things off by sharing a bit about what brought me here, what I’m working on, and a quirky fact about me.
What Brought Me Here
Like many of you, I’m obsessed with shipping products that solve real problems. My latest obsession? The Model Context Protocol (MCP). MCP is a game changer for connecting SaaS apps to LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT, letting users chat with your service naturally. But here’s the catch: setting up MCP servers is a nightmare. I wasted weeks wrestling with FastMCP’s SSE limitations (great for local, useless for hosted apps) and AWS Bedrock’s DevOps maze. Sound familiar?
Frustrated, I decided to fix it. That’s why I built Skolp, a SaaS that turns any backend like Python, Node.js, you name it! into an LLM ready MCP server in three clicks. No DevOps, no proprietary lock-in, just a chat ready app your users will love. Skolp uses lightweight tools like stdio, httpx, and mcp to keep things simple and open-source friendly. I recently poured my heart into a Medium post about this journey: How We Simplified MCP Servers to Three Clicks for SaaS Builders. Check it out if you’re as fed up with MCP complexity as I was!
What I’m Learning
Right now, I’m diving deeper into scalable LLM integrations and multi-tenant SaaS architecture. I’m experimenting with tools like FastAPI and Supabase to make Skolp even more flexible for developers. I’m also learning how to balance building in public with shipping fast—something this community inspires me to do better. Got any tips on managing open-source contributions or growing a SaaS without losing your soul to big tech? I’m all ears!
A Fun Fact About Me
Here’s a quirky tidbit: I’m a sucker for retro video games. When I’m not coding, you’ll find me battling pixelated bosses in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on my SNES. There’s something about those 16bit puzzles that keeps my problem solving brain happy. Maybe that’s why I love simplifying complex tech problems, like MCP servers, into something as satisfying as clearing a dungeon!
Why I’m Here
I joined Dev.to to connect with fellow developers, share what I’m learning, and get feedback on Skolp. If you’re a SaaS builder, indie hacker, or just curious about AI integrations, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
