I built Plavio — a free streaming app for Android and Android TV

Hi everyone. I'm the developer of Plavio, a streaming app for Android phones and Android TV.

The Plavio family

Plavio is a small family of pieces that work together:

  • Plavio app — the interface and player
  • PlavioHD — my addon for streams: movies, series and live TV
  • PMeta — my metadata addon: posters, cast, ratings and full info
  • Plavio Search — a big search index, so titles are found fast

You can also add any other addons you like. Proper player, subtitles, downloads, and debrid support (TorBox, Real-Debrid and others) if you use them.

Built for slow networks

I keep slow networks in mind. PlavioHD checks and caches its streams on the server side, so inside the Plavio app a stream opens almost instantly. And PlavioHD is not locked to Plavio — you are free to use it in any other app, like Stremio or Nuvio.

What I focused on

  • Clean interface, no clutter, no ads
  • Fast loading — what loads first shows first
  • Phone and TV apps sharing the same account and library
  • Free to use

I update it often and most changes come from user feedback. If you try it, tell me honestly what you think — good or bad, both help.
