Written by a certified menace to my own repository.... Just kidding?
The Odin Project warns throughout the very beginning to commit early and often. I did the foundations CSS exercises in Ubuntu, just like everything else that I did. I did not plan for how it would all play out. Things happened, and I ended up experimenting with other distros.
Oddly enough, I could not find this one repository that I forked, and cloned. I thought I could make it later, but what if that later never comes?
Plus, the fact of having to conduct an archeological dig into all the disarrays as well.
Anyhow, I rebuilt, all of the exercises from scratch, once I was in kubuntu, and I would have done faster if the external circumstances were not so impossible. But, it matters how sick I feel, or suffer, I have to keep going, or else I will not know...
Here it was one of the many things I had to start all over again. Including the typing of git add., and claim them all.
Even after redoing everything several times, Git mocked me. It would say:
"nothing to commit, working tree clean"
Forcing a pushed commit into the intermediate level was tough. I checked pwd, the git status, the git remote -v, git log, --oneline. The nested .git folders, and beyond.
This was one of many moments when I wanted to slap the device against the wall. The lesson? Commit early, and often, no matter what, or you will regret it.
Of course, a lot more happened, but I am just leaving it here.
