Inspiring, I started at 40. Very similar path, felt much better once I was comfortable with Michael Hartl's Ruby on Rails guide (it took me ages to work up to that point). I remember starting and actually struggling with the difference between a class in HTML and a class in OOP 🙈. Really happy for you. I once saw a tweet that programming was a self-taught, maverick profession, couldn't agree more but there are so many people out there willing to help, hence why we all love Dev.to so much. I remember reading a book during the initial phase of my journey, No degree no problem I think it was called (Rails based), really inspiring.

Thanks for your encouraging words. I am glad you related to the post. It is definitely not an easy path, but it is loaded with interesting things. Moving along in programming is much more of a marathon than a sprint - and I like that.

I appreciate your comment. 💯
