I love this insight! When I first started learning to code, I was torn between learning ruby or javascript, and I while I did learn a little bit of ruby, I decided to dive deeper into javascript. I personally wanted to have a better understanding of vanilla JS before diving into any other frameworks, and I thought having a good grasp on the basics will help me when I start to learn other languages too. I'm just getting started, but I'm excited to eventually get into a frontend framework. Vue and Angular are both really popular in my area.
