LIAPP Signs Strategic Partnership with Mobile Game Developer Gear Second

– Collaboration on Security Technologies Specialized for Game Apps to Enhance Hacking and Forgery Response Systems

Lockin Company (CEO Choi Myung-kyu), a mobile application security specialist, announced that it has signed a strategic business agreement with game developer Gear Second (CEO Kim Min-sang) for "Security Threat Response and Technical Cooperation in the Mobile Game Environment."

This strategic partnership is part of a "systematic technical collaboration to address various security threats, including hacking, memory manipulation, repackaging, cheat tool insertion, and rooting environment execution," specifically targeting mobile game apps. The goal is to enhance the operational stability and user trust of games developed and serviced by Gear Second through Lockin Company's integrated security service, LIAPP.

LIAPP provides a high-performance security module that detects and blocks various attack vectors in real time from game app launch to runtime. It is a no-code, integrated security platform that applies security at the binary level without any source code modification. Key features include app forgery/tampering and decompilation detection, debugging prevention, rooting detection, real-time memory protection, network encryption, and encrypted storage of personal information. It is optimized for maintaining security during game development and operation, supporting automated application within CI/CD environments.

LIAPP also provides a policy control function that allows remote modification of security policies without app redeployment, enabling agile response to security threats that arise during game operation. This is particularly useful for game services with large user bases or demanding rapid update cycles.

Through this agreement, Gear Second plans to sequentially apply LIAPP to new projects under development, including existing games. This will enable internalized client security, block unauthorized access, protect game balance, and maintain a fair playing environment.

Lockin Company CEO Choi Myung-kyu explained, "Mobile games are installed on user devices, so client security vulnerabilities are always present." He added, "LIAPP is designed to detect and block various hacking threats in real time without complex security settings, so we can expect a high ROI (return on investment) in game security."

Gear Second CEO Kim Min-sang stated, "In the global gaming market, securing user trust is a key factor in determining a game's vitality." He added, "By partnering with Lockin Company, we will elevate security from the code level to the system level, thereby simultaneously improving service quality and operational efficiency."

The two companies plan to build a "sustainable technology collaboration model" that includes sharing security threat intelligence, collaborating on analyzing game hacking detection data, and co-designing security policies optimized for global services.
