I didn't realize how exhausting it was until I eventually ceased doing it.
For years, whenever I went on a trip, I would enter a café or barbershop, or even a little
street vendor, and pose the same uncomfortable question:
“Hi, um… do you take Bitcoin?”
Occasionally, they would grin. At times, they would appear puzzled. At other times, they
would summon someone from the back to clarify what I meant. It turned into this peculiar
small ritual I held onto as a Bitcoiner, partly optimistic, partly ashamed, always somewhat
unsure.
Then one day I accessed Akasha, and the entire routine simply… disappeared.
l time, I wasn’t speculating. I wasn’t inquiring about anything from anyone.
I was just going.
