What is Etchash Algorithm?

Etchash is a modified version Hashimoto dagger, which was used in Ethereum Classic. It functions similar to Ethash (the original Ethereum). Ethereum Classic underwent a DAG decrease, and the algorithm was changed from ETHash (ETHash) to ETChash according to ECIP-1099. The only difference was the way the epoch influenced the seed hash, and the DAG size. By calibrating the duration of the epoch, the goal was to double epoch calculation used in DAG calculations. The DAG was expected to shrink significantly and the DAG's growth would be slowed. It was used to minimize any ECIP-1403 specifications or standards.
