"Hello World"

I am sitting here at my desk, in week five of my fourteen week bootcamp, blown away at how fast everything is moving. It is an amazing and terrifying feeling knowing that I am almost half-way done. After finishing our first capstone project, my instructor started our lecture out, the next day, by saying six words that have been stuck in my head ever since, "You are all officially Java developers”. It’s crazy to me how far I have come in a mere five weeks. As cliché as it sounds, it feels like just yesterday I was writing those famous words "Hello World". I realize now that “yesterday" was actually five weeks ago and in that time, "Hello World" has come to mean so much more to me than what it sounded at first. In just a few weeks I will be re-entering the world as a software developer, with a new job and new life. For so long I never believed I could do this and there is no better feeling than proving myself wrong. I am officially a bi-racial, female Java developer and I am beyond excited to continue learning, growing, and proving my old-self wrong.
