Tried out a Java scenario with GitHub Codespaces and found the experience to be very nice. Support for Maven is useful and seamless (shown below).
Also the integration of testing tools is familiar and quite usable (shown below). The integration is well-implemented and frictionless for me. Nice to see the full menu of integrated refactoring tools as well.
