Inquiry
Cafes and hospitality buyers begin by sending us their requirements: the type of drinkware (mugs, cups, saucers, teapots), estimated quantities, preferred material (bone china, porcelain, stoneware, or blends), decoration style (plain-glazed, printed, underglaze-fired), and any private-label needs. We respond within one business day with clarifying questions and initial recommendations. Because we are a factory, not a trading company, we can advise on kiln-firing, glazing, and printing constraints early. Our low minimum order is 20 pieces per colour or design, making it practical for cafes to test new lines. We serve boutique retailers, department stores, wholesalers, and private-label brands in over 60 countries. At this stage, we also confirm whether the buyer needs FDA or LFGB compliance, and whether custom logos or packaging will be required. For cafes, durability and stackability are common concerns, so we ask about daily usage and dishwasher cycles.
Quote
Based on the inquiry, we prepare a detailed quotation covering unit price, material, decoration method, and lead time. Our production lead time is 25–35 days after sample approval and deposit. We quote for both stock designs (over 1,000 in stock) and fully custom OEM/ODM projects. The quote includes options for private label: fired logo label, hang tag, and custom packaging. We also specify the quality control standard—typically an agreed AQL—and pre-shipment QC. Shipping is worldwide, and we can quote FOB, CIF, or DDP depending on the buyer's preference. For cafes ordering mixed sets (e.g., mugs and saucers), we provide a consolidated price. We encourage buyers to compare our factory-direct pricing with trading company quotes; the difference is often significant. All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Sample
After the quote is accepted, we produce samples for approval. Sampling typically takes 7–10 days, depending on complexity. For stock designs, we can often ship samples immediately from existing inventory. Custom samples—such as a cafe's logo printed on a mug—require a decal or underglaze process, which adds a few days. We send samples via express courier, and the cost is usually credited against the first bulk order. Buyers should inspect samples for glaze quality, colour accuracy, print resolution, and dimensional consistency. We recommend testing samples in a commercial dishwasher and microwave to confirm durability. If adjustments are needed, we revise and re-sample until the buyer is satisfied. This step is critical for cafes that need drinkware to withstand daily use and repeated washing.
Production
Once the sample is approved and the deposit received, we schedule production. Our factory in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China—the historic porcelain capital—runs kiln-firing, glazing, printing, and finishing lines. We source bone china, porcelain, stoneware, and blends, and apply plain-glazed, printed, or underglaze-fired decorations. Production follows a strict timeline: material preparation, forming, firing, decoration, and final firing. Throughout, we maintain batch records for traceability. For private-label orders, we apply the fired logo label, attach hang tags, and prepare packaging. Our team monitors progress daily and communicates any delays proactively. Because we control the entire process, we can adjust colour or shape within the agreed tolerances. Cafes ordering custom shapes or sizes should note that tooling may be required, which can extend the lead time.
QC
Quality control is embedded at every stage. We inspect raw materials, monitor kiln temperatures, and check glaze coverage. After production, we conduct a pre-shipment inspection according to an agreed AQL standard. This includes visual checks for cracks, chips, glaze defects, and print misalignment, as well as functional tests for stability and capacity. We can provide SGS testing reports for FDA food contact substance guidelines and LFGB standards if required. For cafes, we also verify stackability and resistance to thermal shock. Any defective items are pulled and replaced before packing. We document the inspection with photos and a report, which we share with the buyer. This transparency helps buyers meet their own compliance requirements and ensures that the final product matches the approved sample.
Shipping
We ship worldwide using sea, air, or express courier, depending on volume and urgency. For large orders, sea freight is cost-effective; for urgent restocks, air freight is available. We handle export documentation, including commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin. Our team coordinates with freight forwarders and provides tracking information. Packaging is designed to minimise breakage: each piece is wrapped and cushioned, and cartons are labelled with handling instructions. We can also ship to a buyer's designated warehouse or fulfilment centre. Cafes with multiple locations may request split shipments. We recommend buyers arrange insurance for high-value orders. Delivery times vary by destination and mode; we provide estimated transit times at the quote stage. Our shipping terms are flexible, and we work with both experienced importers and first-time buyers.
After-sales
After delivery, we remain available for support. If any issues arise—such as breakage during transit or minor defects—we ask buyers to provide photos and a description within 7 days of receipt. We investigate and, if the issue is our responsibility, we arrange replacement or credit. We also welcome feedback on product performance, which helps us improve future batches. For cafes, we can advise on care instructions to extend the life of the drinkware. We offer ongoing support for reorders, and our team is reachable by phone or email. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with buyers who value factory-direct quality and service. We are always happy to discuss new designs, materials, or private-label projects as your cafe business grows.
