My first week in Ubuntu

I have been a Windows user for almost all my life, if not all of it; I used Mac OS X during my high school years only to pretend to be hip (back then, I was spoiled rotten), and I got used to everything Windows always gave the end user. It wasn't until I found The Odin Project that I found myself... not forced, but prompted to make the big change. I was scared of doing so, not because I thought I'd mess up my PC, but because I always thought of Linux as THE OS where you could only do a job and work and things like that. For extra context, I have a career in IT/Software Dev, although it wasn't until last week that I found my way back into this world, thanks to TOP, but before that, I was mainly just a gamer, using my PC for games like WoW, FFXIV, and such. And while nowadays I use the Xbox for most of the games, WoW is not there yet...so the idea of having to swap of OS's back and forth just for one thing, is still something I am quite afraid of.

However, the fear of Linux quite dissipated after I installed Ubuntu...such a beautiful system, and while I thought I had to download my wifi drivers and such, it was quite a seamless experience...I have been learning Unix and Bash commands as part of the TOP Foundations course, as well as using Linux-Path. On my third day, I am planning to keep using Ubuntu more and more, hoping it can stick with me...although the topic of games is still up...
