While building AI PreMinds I started thinking about one question:
Is getting the correct answer enough to say that a student understands the concept?
I don't think it always is.
A student can remember a formula memorize an answer or choose the option in an MCQ without fully understanding why it is correct.. When the question changes they may struggle to apply the same concept.
That's one of the problems I want AI PreMinds to work on.
Of focusing only on "Is your answer correct?" I want students to also think:
"Why did I choose this answer?"
If a student can explain their reasoning and apply the concept to a different question or a real-life situation it can show a deeper level of understanding.
AI PreMinds is a learning platform where students can practice questions explain their reasoning receive AI feedback and track their progress.
I'm still. Testing the platform with early users. I'm learning from their feedback fixing problems improving the experience and trying to understand what actually helps students learn better.
One thing I don't want AI PreMinds to become is a platform where students only ask:
"What's the answer?"
I want them to ask:
"Why is this the answer?"
