One Excel sheet. Different results.
A new post is live on Techn0tz: Import Student Marks from Excel: A Smarter Way to Enter Grades.
The Teacher Assistant App can now use an Excel marks sheet as another entry point to the existing Grades workflow.
The application reads the sheet, matches students and subjects, validates each mark, and separates valid records from issues such as invalid marks, missing values, name mismatches, and students that cannot be found.
Valid marks are saved to the same Grades data used by the existing reporting workflow, allowing them to continue through PDF generation and email delivery.
The post walks through the implementation in Rust, from Excel parsing and validation to database storage and the existing reporting workflow.
