I am doing the opposite right now. From 2 weeks I am Transitioning from Development to QA, for the same reason than you, I wanted a change. After more than 10 years of Development I wanted to do something new and now I am happy learning about Codings Tests with Selenium and Visual Studio 2017 and reviewing user storys with Scrum Development.

That is correct. Maybe it is not so bad going from Dev to QA, because of that, because I can code easily and fast to automate tests, and that sore of things ;=)
