Post length. It's hard for most people, but writing anything from 800+ words will help. 1,000+ words even better.
Competitor analysis. Google your keywords and see how other posts look and feel.
Search intent. This is the "why" behind the search query. Make it your mission to give searchers what they want.
Page structure. H1 is important, but don't forget about the rest. Spread enough H2's and H3's to make it look like mini chapters in a text book. 3-4 sentences max per paragraph (perhaps more depending on the content).
Don't give up. Many of my clients make one post and then expect to jump to the 1st page. Just keep posting. SEO is a journey, not a race.
