How to Fix WMI Provider Host High CPU Usage

Follow these structured, step-by-step methods to identify the problematic software and restore low CPU utilization.

Method 1: Restart the WMI Service

A simple service restart clears temporary query bottlenecks and resets stuck processes.

Press Windows Key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Scroll down and locate Windows Management Instrumentation.

Right-click it and select Restart.
