Everyone has a different learning style and learns at a different pace. GitHub’s GUI features are helpful to those who are more visually-inclined or new to Git.
My post is not encouraging developers to never learn Git, but these are good options that will eventually help some people understand concepts in Git.

I get that! The CLI is more convenient FOR ME, as well. But, it's good for us as people with tech experience to offer different options because maybe the GUI will be convenient for someone else.

well, true. I'm not saying GUI is bad or anything. Just in my opinion using cli is more convenient.
