Managing personal finances shouldn't be complicated. Yet, keeping track of daily income, expenses, savings, and debts can be challenging, especially when existing tools don't fully understand local financial habits.
That's why I started building JomaKhoros.
The Problem
In Bangladesh, people manage money through different channels:
- Cash transactions
- bKash and Nagad
- Rocket and bank accounts
- Personal loans and informal debts
- Monthly household expenses
Keeping everything organized across different sources is not always easy. I wanted to build something simple that brings everything together.
What I'm Building
JomaKhoros is a Bangla-first personal finance management platform designed for everyday financial tracking.
Some of its key features include:
- Income and expense tracking
- Multiple wallets and account management
- Monthly budgeting
- Savings goals
- Debt and loan tracking
- Recurring transactions
- Financial calculators and useful tools
Why I Chose to Build It
I'm a civil engineer and BIM professional with a strong interest in technology, automation, and building practical software solutions.
I believe the best products come from understanding real-world problems and using technology to solve them.
JomaKhoros is my attempt to make personal finance management more accessible to people in Bangladesh.
What's Next?
I'm continuously working to improve the platform, user experience, and features based on real user needs.
I'd love to hear from the developer community:
- What features do you think a personal finance app should never miss?
- How would you approach building a finance platform for a local market?
- What would make you trust and regularly use a personal finance tool?
