Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are tiny black and white seeds, which are produced from the Salvia hispanica plant. It is an annual herbaceous flowering plant that belongs to the Lamiaceae, basically the mint family. These seeds are among the healthiest seeds because they contain omega-3, fatty acids, fibre, protein, antioxidants, etc.

Nowadays, whether it is due to social media trends or the shifting of people towards healthy food habits, people have started using chia seeds in their diet. Chia seeds can reduce unnecessary hunger because when they are soaked, they create a gel-like structure that keeps the stomach full for a longer time. These seeds are one of the healthy seeds that provide plant-based protein.

Chia seeds have a lot of benefits, but as it is said, everything should be taken in limits. So, if chia seeds are taken above the limit, they may cause discomfort in the body. People prefer chia seeds more during summer because some study shows that it cools down the body and prevent the health problems related to excessive heat. People consume chia seeds by adding it in juices, water, and various summer drinks , chia seeds. When we soak chia seeds then they can absorb about water about 12 times of their weight, its water content is really best thats why it is suggested to consume during the summer.
