Today, on the second of my 3-day Sankranthi weekend, I had some more LitTech fun. LitTech is my term for what Data Science calls Natual Language Processing (NLP).
I converted to Ruby, the extensive Python algorithm that I had Googled yesterday for counting syllables. Quickly built up a Rails application around that algo and deployed it on my cloud server where I run my side projects.

I entered Hyderabad Readers And Writers. It gave the syllable count as seen in the following screenshot.
I am yet to verify the accuracy of my migrated Ruby algorithm. Will run some tests tomorrow. In any case, there is a long way for this baby to go - meters and stuff.
