US Congress Q1 2026: Lawmakers Loaded MCK, BA, and GOOGL with Zero Sells

US congressional stock disclosures for Q1 2026 revealed an unusual signal: net buys in McKesson (MCK), Boeing (BA), and Alphabet (GOOGL) — with zero sell transactions across all three positions. According to Quiver Quantitative and Forecaster.biz data, congressional net purchases of MCK totaled $97,500, the highest in 3 to 4 years.

Why MCK?

McKesson is the largest pharmaceutical distributor in the U.S., supplying drugs and medical supplies to hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics — and serving as a key contractor for the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Two policy tailwinds drove lawmaker interest. First, the PBM reform bill passed in February 2026 restructures drug pricing; as a distributor rather than a PBM intermediary, MCK stands to benefit structurally. Second, rising defense budgets support expanded military medical supply contracts. MCK's Q3 FY2026 revenue came in at $106.2B (+11% YoY). The stock traded near $828 in late April, roughly 17% below its all-time high of $995.69 from March 2026.

BA and GOOGL: Position Overlaps

Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) bought up to $65,000 in Boeing shares on March 19 — part of a 24-stock, up to $850,000 disclosure with zero sells. Boeing's Q1 2026 revenue was $22.22B (+14% YoY), with EPS of -$0.20, beating the -$0.68 consensus.

Rep. Cleo Fields (D-LA), a member of the House Financial Services Committee's Capital Markets subcommittee, bought up to $580,000 in Alphabet in January 2026 — before GOOGL hit its all-time high of $344.40 in April. Sen. John Fetterman, who publicly supports a congressional trading ban, also bought GOOGL in March. Rep. Ro Khanna, whose portfolio has outperformed the S&P 500 by +112.1% since January 2024, also joined.

The Zero-Sell Signal

An all-buy quarter across three major holdings is unusual. It signals shared directional conviction among lawmakers. Based on current data, MCK and GOOGL carry stronger structural cases — MCK has a defined policy trigger, GOOGL has cloud revenue proof (+48% YoY). BA needs EPS profitability confirmation first.

Note: STOCK Act allows up to 45 days post-transaction to disclose, so prices often move before public awareness.
