How I Built a Lightning-Fast (92/100 PageSpeed) Professional Network for Gen-Z Devs

If you are a developer, freelancer or founder today you probably feel frustrated like I do. Most professional networks are broken. They have gatekeepers, fake influencers and lots of spam. It's hard to find a co-founder discuss tech problems or get good gigs without a middleman.

So I decided to create a solution.

Meet Xenlq (xenlq.online). A network for Gen-Z developers and startup founders thats free from gatekeepers and performs well.

The Architecture: Speed is Important

Many modern web apps struggle with performance and speed. I wanted Xenlq to feel fast as a native app even on cheap 5G smartphones.

The Tech Stack:

  • Frontend: React + Vite (for updates and optimized code).

*. Database: Firebase Firestore (for real-time data syncing and scalability).

  • Styling: Tailwind CSS (for a Apple-style UI).

By optimizing code, images and layout I achieved a perfect performance score.

Here are the results:

  • FCP: 1.1s

  • LCP: 1.5s

  • Blocking Time (TBT): 0ms

Core Features: Improving the Ecosystem

I didn't just want to build a job board. I wanted to build a community.

The Hustle Feed & Community

Xenlqs feed is for real tech discussions finding freelance gigs and collaborating with founders.

The 'Incognito Clan' (Anonymous Mode)

This feature lets you ask questions anonymously. You can discuss topics like salary, workplace culture or finding a co-founder without fear.

Frictionless Access

You can explore the feed and high-value posts without logging in. Then you can join the community if you want.

The Road Ahead

Building Xenlq alone has been a journey. The platform is live. I'm adding new features based on community feedback.

If you're tired of networks and want to connect with real builders try Xenlq.

Check it out here:xenlq

I want to hear your feedback, on the UI, speed or features you'd like to see next! Lets build the future of tech networking.
