Are there any telemetry-using products or organisations that publish the data, do you know?
I feel that if I was to install FooPack9000 and I could opt-in to telemetry, and it was explained briefly what was tracked and why, generally I'm ok with it if it's not from a company I don't trust.
But it'd be awesome if there was a pack to go where you could visualise or download the data that was collected and see for yourself what they were doing with it. Like, how it feeds into their roadmap or issue tracker.

One of the open questinos from the article is about exchange of value - I wonder if a dapp would be a good fit to tie these two ideas together? Telemetric data could be written to the blockchain so that its openness is not compromised and it is immutable. That could also provide a way to transfer value back to those that generate the telemetry.
