I try to get presentation practice by doing lightning talks at smaller, local meetups when I can, but even then I worry about whether my topics are "too beginner" for the other participants. Still, I often get questions and "I didn't know that" comments from more experienced developers, so you never know what other people have studied or simply missed in their studies (or maybe just forgotten!).
