I Built an Academic Timetable Scheduler to Replace Spreadsheets and Manual Work
Managing academic timetables is still a nightmare in many schools and colleges.
Administrators spend hours β sometimes days β fixing teacher conflicts, adjusting rooms, handling substitutions, and updating Excel sheets manually.
So I built Academic Scheduler.
π Academic Scheduler
Itβs a smart timetable scheduling platform designed for schools, colleges, universities, and academies.
What it does
- Automatically generates conflict-free schedules
- Detects teacher and room clashes instantly
- Supports substitutions and workload management
- Lets institutions share schedules online
- Exports timetables to Excel and PDF
- Works for schools, colleges, universities, and coaching centers
Why I built it
While working with academic scheduling systems, I realized most institutions still depend on spreadsheets or outdated software.
The process was slow, stressful, and full of repetitive manual work.
Academic Scheduler started as a solo project to simplify that workflow and make scheduling faster and easier for educators. ([Academic Scheduler][1])
Current impact
Today the platform is being used by 150+ institutions with thousands of schedules managed through the system. ([Academic Scheduler][2])
Tech + Product Focus
The goal wasnβt just building another CRUD dashboard.
I focused heavily on:
- real-world scheduling constraints
- speed and simplicity
- responsive UI
- scalability for institutions
- user-driven feature development
Whatβs next
Iβm currently working on:
- smarter automation
- better analytics
- multi-branch institution support
- AI-assisted scheduling improvements
Would love feedback from developers, educators, or SaaS founders building in EdTech π
