What's the added value of Alfred over Spotlight? As in: what are some things I can't do with Spotlight that I can with Alfred. I'm hearing loads of recommendations, but I just don't see the added value just yet.
The Spotlight-like (but better) functionality is only the tip of the iceberg. Lots of reading here: alfredapp.com/help/features/
Workflows are VERY powerful and I've automated a lot of tedious stuff with them, the clipboard history works better than any other clipboard manager I've tried, snippets and text expansion come in handy for some repetitive stuff, etc.
Whether or not these features are useful to you is entirely dependent on your usage.
