Physical US Address vs Virtual Mailbox: Which One Should You Use?

Virtual mailboxes — what they are and why banks hate them
Virtual mailboxes are services like iPostal1, Earth Class Mail, Anytime Mailbox or Stable that give you a real US street address where mail is received, scanned and forwarded to you anywhere in the world. They're cheap (often $10–30/month), fast to set up, and great for receiving physical mail.

The problem: every major US bank — Mercury, Wise, Relay, Payoneer, Bluevine, Chase, Bank of America — maintains an internal blacklist of these addresses. Submit any document showing a known virtual mailbox street and your application is auto-rejected within minutes. Worse, future applications from the same person can be flagged as "previously rejected".

Physical US addresses — the only address banks actually want
A real residential or commercial address that accepts mail and produces verifiable utility bills, lease agreements and government correspondence. This is what banks want to see. The address has to be tied to a real building, not a mail-handling facility, and ideally in the same state as your LLC.

What we provide
When you choose "I don't have a US address" during checkout, we add a verified physical US address (+$12.55) that pairs with your proof document — no blacklists, no rejections. The address is in a state that's well-suited to your bank choice (e.g. Wyoming or Delaware for LLCs, Florida for personal accounts) and produces real documents that pass OCR and human review.
