One of the welcome moves for OCI databases is to have multiple standby databases as seen in documentayion on 22-Jan-2025

Currently as on date ExaCS and ExaCC allows only one standby database managed by OCI console , allowing multiple standby's
would help in the following.
- Creating an additional DR site Local or Remote
- Have an option to have Snapshot Standby databases for workloads that require transactional writes for some period of time
However OCI does not allow cascading standy databases.
Setting up Oracle Dataguard is a complex set of engineering and Oracle has done it magnificiently well by adding another standby database at the click of a console.
