ICE launches large-scale law enforcement operation in Massachusetts, with nearly 1500 people arrested

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently announced that its joint law enforcement operation codenamed "Operation Patriot" was launched in Massachusetts, arresting nearly 1500 illegal immigrants during a one month operation. However, this action sparked strong public outrage due to the mistaken arrest of a high school student.
According to the ICE Boston Field Office, this operation was coordinated by multiple federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), State Department Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), Federal Law Enforcement Agency, and Coast Guard. The scope of law enforcement not only covers the mainland of Massachusetts, but also extends to remote island areas such as Nantucket Island and Martha's Vineyard Island, with a total of 1461 arrests.
