π§Ή TASKBUCKS: GET THINGS DONE, EARN REWARDS | HACKTOBERFEST WEEK 3 π
Have you ever looked at your to-do list, seen all the chores waiting for you, and thought, "I'll do it tomorrow"? π
Cleaning your room, folding laundry, washing dishes⦠these things aren't necessarily difficult, but sometimes finding the motivation to do them is the hardest part.
And that got me thinking: What if getting things done actually felt rewarding? πΈ
That's the idea behind TaskBucks β Get Things Done!
π‘ THE IDEA
TaskBucks is a project built around making everyday tasks more motivating by adding a reward-based approach to productivity.
The idea is simple: instead of endlessly postponing chores, you have another reason to get up and finish them.
π οΈ A LITTLE ABOUT THE PROJECT
While building TaskBucks, I've been exploring how to turn a simple idea into a website that feels useful, easy to navigate, and enjoyable to use.
One thing I wanted to focus on was improving the website experience, not just making something that works, but making it feel better to use, too.
β¨ HERE'S AN EXAMPLE OF MY BEFORE-AND-AFTER FEATURE!
This is one of the changes I've been working on in TaskBucks, showing how the website has evolved from its earlier version to the improved experience.
It's always satisfying to look back at an earlier version of your project and see how much you've changed, improved, and learned along the way. π₯Ή
π§ THE JOURNEY SO FAR
Like any project, TaskBucks comes with its own little challenges. Sometimes an idea looks great in your head, but making it work the way you imagined takes a few attempts.
But that's what makes building projects interesting. You learn by trying things, fixing mistakes, and making improvements one step at a time.
For me, this project is not just about building a website. It's also about learning how to take an idea and turn it into something people might actually enjoy using.
π WHAT'S NEXT?
I'd love to continue improving TaskBucks and explore more ways to make everyday productivity less boring.
Because let's be honest, sometimes we don't need another productivity lecture. We just need a reason to stop procrastinating. π
What do you think about the idea? Would a reward-based approach motivate you to finish your everyday chores? π
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
