How I Solved the "Your Device Isn't Part of the Netflix Household" Error

Netflix's Household feature is designed to prevent account sharing outside a primary household. However, it can sometimes block devices that should have access, displaying the message:

"Your device isn't part of the Netflix Household for this account."

If you're experiencing this issue, here's how I fixed it.

Quick Fix

Step 1 — Open Netflix

Open Netflix in your browser until you see the error message.

Open Netflix

Step 2 — Purge Cached Site Data

Click the site information icon next to the address bar, then select On-device site data.

Open Site Data

Open Site Data 2

Step 3 — Remove Netflix Session Data

Delete both entries:

  • netflix.com
  • www.netflix.com

Delete Site Data

This will sign you out of Netflix.

Step 4 — Re-authenticate

Refresh Netflix and sign in again.

Sign In Again

Work

That's it! The Household error disappeared, and Netflix worked normally again.
