I received mug swag from GitHub, and it's safely arrived tho. I think the expedition in Indonesia is awesome! They care every package they deliver. When you winner received broken mug, I think it's the expedition should get the mad, not you as the sender.

Thanks for sharing. I also started hosting hackathons back in 2020 and learned a lot from that. So I really can relate to what you wrote. I found that having all the key information (goal, topic, judging, prizes, ...) on one sheet greatly helps in preparing such an event as it is easier to communicate to your staff as well as to your target audience. We came up with a format called "hackathon topic canvas", which does exactly that. Much easier after that :)
