How to add a progress bar to terraform cli

So I figured terraform cli deserves a better ux. After all, the endless staredown at output logs is not ideal.
A progress bar, then ? so developers know if they have enough time to grab a cup of coffee?
This Vscode Extension adds a button to the status bar. Clicking it opens a command menu that runs commands with a progress bar.
