A healthcare AI system can have excellent model performance and still fail in practice.
Why?
Because users may not trust it, understand it, or have time to integrate it into their workflow.
Human-centered healthcare AI should consider cognitive load, alert fatigue, usability, explainability, accessibility, and workflow fit.
For agentic AI, the requirements expand.
Users need visibility into what the agent is doing, what information it used, what actions were completed, and when human intervention is required.
The technical architecture matters.
But the user experience determines whether the architecture creates value.
I am open to remote roles globally.
