Learning 1: People Hate Long Names
OK ... the oOo way means to replace shortcuts with long and precise descriptions in natural language ... from this point of view a decision which will make it fail ... So people love the cryptic way and this is why programming languages are as they are - separating code using cryptic names and providing documentation to explain them. At least at the moment where you want to customize or reuse code a real issue preventing fast progress or preventing any progress at all. So no chance to change it? Is the idea of the oOo way condemned to death in oblivion? And if I MYSELF want it ... I need to make it happen for ME ... because there are not enough others out there seeking the same to reach some critical mass making a change in mainstream mindset possible, right?
