As we stand on the precipice of the next great leap in human ingenuity, it is imperative to recognize that open source is not an untested ideal, but a proven model for collective progress. We have seen its principles executed on grand scales, delivering tangible benefits that stretch from the microcosm of individual communities to the macrocosm of global interconnection. The time has come to extend this philosophy further into the digital domain, advocating for the creation and support of public digital infrastructure as a collaborative endeavor between governments, corporations, and individuals.

Algebra, algorithms, distillation, crystallization, discovery of acids, sublimation, and more came about as a result of fierce commitment to the open sharing of knowledge.
