I like both, I learned Elixir first. Very cool, like the functional approach. A year later, I try some little things in ruby in order to understand why it's so popular and I get it. Syntax in nice and clear. If I have to go for a web dev project, Elixir, because Phoenix and Ecto are just to pleasant to use.
