Don't use a framework, keep your build process as simple and straight forward as possible. Maybe don't use a build process at all?

Nice, if we don't have to target 98% of browsers, as

• We can use modules natively in modern web browsers. As well as ES6 and beyond.
• We don't have to use JSX. We might not even need a library like lit-html. Just use tagged template literals, if you need it.
• We can easily use vanilla JS. And, You might not need jQuery
• Web browser JavaScript is already full of APIs.
• We don't need to minify everything, except in production.
