Let Ai speak with money

*What I Built

I built an AI-powered assistant that can see, read, and talk about money. The app allows users to upload images of currency notes, coins, receipts, or even handwritten expenses, and the AI instantly interprets them.

It then provides clear financial insights such as:

Recognizing currency and value from banknotes/coins.

Breaking down expenses from receipts into categories.

Summarizing totals and highlighting spending patterns.

Offering currency conversions and simple budgeting advice.

The goal is to make financial literacy and money management accessible, visual, and conversational. Instead of staring at confusing numbers, users can “let AI speak with money” and get meaningful explanations in plain language.

Demo

Example Demo:

Upload a receipt → AI extracts items, totals, and categories.

Upload a currency note → AI identifies it and gives live conversion rates.

(If free trial access ends, I’ll also provide a short demo video of the workflow.)

How I Used Google AI Studio

I used Google AI Studio to design and power the multimodal features:

Leveraged Gemini 2.5 Flash Image for analyzing visuals (notes, coins, receipts).

Built prompt flows that connect image recognition with financial reasoning.

Used Studio’s multimodal capabilities to not just recognize money, but also explain financial meaning (like budget advice or unusual spending alerts).

Exported the final API into my applet to create a smooth, conversational financial assistant.

Multimodal Features

Image Recognition of Money & Receipts: Detects banknotes, coins, receipts, and extracts structured financial data.

Vision + Text Reasoning: Combines what it “sees” with financial logic to explain totals, conversions, or expense categories.

Conversational Financial Insights: Turns numbers into plain, human-like advice for better decision-making.

Currency Conversion & Spending Trends: Identifies currencies, provides conversion rates, and highlights unusual expenses.

By combining vision + language + reasoning, this project reimagines financial literacy — making it easy, interactive, and empowering.

I din't had time to do properly because i saw just now this challenge
