In this post, I made a general example.
For some cases, such as in photography platforms or product descriptions, this specific detail is necessary.
And in the example picture, the white shirt is one of standout elements for product description.
I personally sometimes looking for pictures with specific criterias, such as color, to match the theme of things that I'm working on.
So at the end, it depends on the context and the need of how you want to represent the image through the alt text to your audience.
That's my two cents :)
Nice post Ayu, alt text was something I struggled with initially and was definitely guilty of using image or picture in my description.
I wonder if the level detail like 'white-shirt' is needed as the color of the shirt doesn't project what the image is actually about?
Bro everyone hates a11y and i18n, but we have to do it whatsoever.
I disagree, I don't hate it. I think it is very important to make the web accessible to everyone.
Bruh. I mean,
Everyone hates a11y and i18n, but we have to do it whatsoever because it's important to make the web accessible to everyone.
You know, everyone hates bugs and errors. But we have to fix those bugs because it's important to make the software not buggy.

Great reply I see what you mean by context.
