Building StayMaster: A Modern Approach to Property Management in Vietnam

I'm Phuc, a Backend Developer from Vietnam. Today, I want to share a bit about the project I've been working on: StayMaster – a comprehensive solution for property management.

🏢 The Vision

In Vietnam, the rental market is massive, ranging from traditional boarding houses and serviced apartments to modern homestays and dormitories. However, many landlords still manage their business using physical notebooks or messy Excel sheets.

We built StayMaster to bridge this digital gap.

🛠 The Tech Stack

As a developer, I wanted a system that is both robust and scalable. Here is what's under the hood:

Backend: Java 11 with Spring Boot. We chose this for its reliability and the powerful ecosystem that handles complex business logic with ease.
Frontend: Angular. It allows us to build a "smart", responsive, and professional dashboard that landlords can use on any device.
Database: MySQL for structured data integrity.

🚀 Key Features we've implemented:

Automated Utility Billing: No more manual calculations for electricity and water.
E-Contract Management: Creating and storing rental agreements digitally.
Smart Debt Reminders: Automated notifications via Zalo/SMS to ensure cash flow.
Comprehensive Reporting: Real-time insights into revenue and occupancy rates.
