I absolutely love vim, and I absolutely love Sublime. I also started using VS Code for my new job, and there are a few things about it that make me see why people use it. I think the moral of the story is that there is a place and time for every editor to shine, but I love vim since it works into my workflow well as a terminal junkie, but when I need all the bells and whistles that editors / IDE's provide, I use an editor / IDE. I think it's valuable to be at least familiar with a few editors depending on what you use them for.
