A one-off talk is a fine start. A standing relationship with a handful of clubs — where the same coordinator emails you every semester — is where mentoring and speaking actually compounds.
How that relationship gets built
- Stay reachable between sessions; answer the odd follow-up question from a student who remembers your talk.
- Offer a standing lighter-touch option (a remote office hour, a quick review call) between the bigger annual sessions.
- Introduce the club to one other useful contact when you can — this kind of reciprocity is remembered.
