Complete Steps to configure new view in Siebel Tools

Objective: To create New View with name Update CRN in Third Level View Bar in MDU Delivery Contract Screen , and

Add 2 view in Fourth Level View Bar with name Update CRN and CRN Attachment.

Pre-requisite : Open Siebel Web Client, Go ->MDU Delivery Contract Screen->
Select Help -> About View to get the Details of MDU Delivery Contract Screen.

Step1: Create New Workspace and Open itGo to New Object.
Go to Tools->File->Click on New Object

In General->Click on View Object and Select OK

Step2: Enter the Following Details and Click Next

Step3: Select View Web Layout

Step4: Select Following Applet

1) TS Import CRN List Applet

New View Created with name TS MDU Update CRN

Go to ViewView Web TemplateCheck Applet name in View Web Template Items.
Select View Web Template for this view from the menu at the left.
At the right pane, you should see Base.

In the right pane , there will be a column called Applet Mode.
Set this to Edit List if it is already not so.

Step5:
Now open Siebel Web Client. We need to add this new view.
Open WorkspaceGo to Site Map, Administration Application -> Views

Click on New View and add TS MDU Update CRN
Click on Default Local Access field (this field should be checked).

In the Bottom panel, there will be a list of Responsibilities.
Use Existing Responsibility -> Siebel Webtool User
Drill Down the Responsibility Select View Name Check if the Users already assigned.
If not add user using new user button ‘+’

Save the record.
Do Clear Cache

Log out of Siebel Web Client.

Step 6:
Similarly Create one more view CRN Attachment with applet TS MDU Delivery Import CRN Attachment Applet using wizard.

Now open Siebel Web Client. We need to add this new view.
Open WorkspaceGo to Site Map, Administration Application -> Views
Add ViewAssign Responsibility and UsersDo Clear Cache and Logout of the Siebel Web Client.
Step 7:

In Siebel Tools, we will need to assign these views to a TS MDU Delivery Contracts Screen
1)First We will create new Detail Category - Update CRN to make parent of Newly Created Detail Views.

In Siebel Tools, select Screen and search TS MDU Delivery Contracts Screen.
Right Click on Right paneclick on New Record and create Detail Category with following details.

2) Add 2 new Screen Views :
i) TS MDU Update CRN
ii)CRN Attachment

and assign Detail Category as Parent of the above mentioned Detail Views:

Display in Page and Display in Site Map fields should be checked.
Save the record (Controls+S or Click on another Item)

Step 8:
Adjust Applets using Siebel Web tools as per our requirement.

Step9:
Open Siebel ApplicationOpen workspace - click on inspect to view changes.

New View->Update CRN Added to MDU Delivery Contract Screen.
Update CRN has two child views :1)Update CRN 2)CRN Attachment
are added in Fourth Level View Bar.

Some Additional Changes
Step1 : Add Form Applet TS MDU Delivery Contract Form Applet

Step2 : Change the sequence as per the requirements

Step3: Clone the applets
Existing-> TS Import CRN List Applet
Cloned --> TS Update CRN List Applet

Existing-> TS MDU Delivery Import CRN Attachment Applet
Cloned --> TS MDU Delivery Update CRN Attachment Applet

Step 4 : Add new applets in new Views TS MDU Update CRN and CRN Attachment

Step5: Change the Button name

Step6: Button name updated with Update CRN

ADDITION OF New Button Re-Try Update In Update CRN View

Step1: Navigate to Applet Object Explore and search for TS Update CRN List Applet

Step2: Go to Applet child Control and Create New Record

Step3: Create New Control with below mentioned details

Step4: Map the Button On UI using Web Tools
Go to Siebel Web ToolsOpen WorkspaceSearch Applet
Go to Applet Web Templates and Edit the template using Edit List Mode.
